Milingan sings a children's song he learned from his grandmother. Paiwan is one of several living Formosan (Austronesian) languages spoken in Taiwan. While the Paiwan are the third largest aboriginal group in Taiwan, their language is not being transmitted at a sustainable rate to younger generations. Small efforts are underway to improve its transmission and revitalization. This recording was made in NYC during a visit by Milingan.
